We are liking the new K book. I’ve gone through the old K book with a few of my children and enjoyed it. I like the addition of scissor work that is in this new book. I was thinking that I would use the old teacher’s guide along with this new book, but after reading another review, I’m thinking that a lot of extras might be missed without the new guide. So this review does not cover the use of the teachers guide along with the book. Even without the teachers guide, we are enjoying this new K book. (One last thought: I loved the little science snippets in the old teacher’s guide that went along with the letter lessons. So fun! I’m assuming those are in the new guide as well.)
I really enjoy this curriculum. I was drawn to it because I loved the idea of my children learning how to write by copying Scripture. Right now we are using K, A, and T books. Along with the Scripture, I really enjoyed incorporating the little teachings about different animals, in the K curriculum portion of the guide, into our schooling. It was nice to get a dose of both Bible and science curriculum all while doing our handwriting curriculum. I also like that a bit of art is incorporated with coloring pages in all three books. The length of the days 1-5 lessons in the A and T books are just right for us (there are also practice lessons in the book, which are much longer than the daily lessons, so when we use them we take multiple days on one lesson page). I’m happy with not only the manuscript teachings but with the cursive teachings found in the T book. I definitely give this curriculum a big thumbs up! Thank you for the time and effort put into creating this curriculum!

Day three and the students look forward to using their workbooks. We needed more practice with strokes and the book helps! Today is letter K , the nemesis of all five year olds. By the end of the page each student was drawing decent arrows on the line to form the letter. I am blessed to have a handwriting company that incorporates scripture. We are learning how to use the two page spread out of top and bottom length wise. It is a challenge for the students to write on the top part of the book. I look forward to spring when we will see the transformation of their writing skills compared to this late summer week. Thank you for a beautiful product.
We have used your handwriting program for years and have liked using it. This is our first year using your spelling program and we are enjoying it well so far. I like reading the poems throughout the book with the children as it is often a struggle to work poetry into language arts, but is important. I love that the Bible verses and themes coincide with the handwriting books. It’s just a very nice cohesive touch. Thank you again for great classroom materials!
